Gubi Pedrera Ana Pendant Lamp Pd5 Black
The ana pendant was designed by barba corsini in cooperation with joaquim ruiz millet as an extension of the original pd2 standing lamp that corsini created for la pedrera in 1955. It has the same characteristic look and iconic status. The inspiration behind the lampshade is found in la pedrera’s cylindrical chimneys. The ana pendant has a powerful and simple character, which is also an apt description of corsini’s personal style.
It is well-suited for all modern homes. Barba corsini was chosen in 1955 to renovate the attics at the prominent antoni gaudí landmark, la pedrera. He transformed a laundry and storage area to 13 modern flats. In order to complete the architectural experience, corsini designed and decorated the flats with his own designs, inspired by the characteristic appearance of the buildings.
In 1991, it was decided that the attics at la pedrera should be restored in accordance with gaudí’s original vision. The corsini interiors were torn down and largely thrown away, but during the renovations the architect and gallery-owner joaquim ruiz millet discovered the pd2 standing lamp and rescued it. Ruiz millet started a collaboration with corsini. Recreating the original products and making them more accessible to the public. – enhance your home with scandinavian elegance and modern design.
