Fritz Hansen Grand Prix Childrens Chair Oregon Pine-chrome
The grand prix™ childrens chair is an iconic design with a unique graphic expression and a shapely aesthetic that transforms everyday objects into beautiful works of art without compromising on quality. Designed by the famous danish designer arne jacobsen, the chair was introduced at the designers spring fair at the design museum denmark back in 1957.
The chair gained recognition and was exhibited later that year at the milan triennale, where it won the grand prix, the exhibitions finest award, which gave rise to the chairs name. The chair itself is made of layered veneer, which provides great comfort and can be moulded with great precision, making it possible to form the beautiful curves that characterise the look of the chair.
The wide shoulders and narrow waist give the chair a sculpted look, while the narrow steel legs slope slightly to either side for stability and stackability. See the grand prix in more colours here. – enhance your home with scandinavian elegance and modern design.
