Fritz Hansen Fritz Hansen Rocking Horse Black Ash
Rocking horse black veneer is an original fritz hansen design and a tribute to the visionary carpenters who dare to think big and break new ground. The rocking horse design dates back to 1946, when a prototype of the finished rocking horse first saw the light of day. The design was created in an effort to further develop fritz hansens wood bending techniques to achieve the desired shape by creating an interplay between material and design.
However, due to the complex manufacturing process the design required, it was not possible to put the rocking horse into production, and only now with the modern manufacturing techniques available today, fritz hansens idea can be realised. The rocking horse is characterised by a holistic design language as it is created from a single piece of moulded ash veneer. The ears are made of leather, while the tail is made of flagline.
The rocking horse comes in both a black-painted and an unpainted version. View them both here. – enhance your home with scandinavian elegance and modern design.
